Each litter at Ausable River Aussies is planned with great care and consideration for temperament, health and soundness of mind. Our dogs are bred to reflect the standard set forth by our breed clubs, The Canadian Kennel Club and The Australian Shepherd Club of America. We raise our puppies in our home, with care and understanding of the individual characteristics that each puppy exhibits. They all have their own special personalities, we love to encourage their individuality! Companion Puppies are placed on non-breeding Canadian Kennel Club registrations and Show/Competition Prospects are selected at 8weeks, and placed on Co-Own Contracts under private agreement.

I do NOT place puppies solely based on colour, I will take colour preference and sex preference under consideration when making my selections. A puppy is a lifetime commitment, temperament and personality are what make a puppy shine when placed in the best home. All Ausable River Puppies are sold on LATE SPAY/NEUTER Contracts, requiring they remain intact until 2years of age.

Items that I prioritize when considering homes are:

• Active lifestyle.

• Proper Fit! Australian Shepherds can be a difficult "starter" dog, requiring training, and often a job to keep them both active in body AND mind. The wrong fit can be destructive to both the family and the dog. I will do my best to assess each personality prior to placement.

All puppies will be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, and may also be able to be registered with The American Kennel Club and the Australian Shepherd Club of America.
